Yoga for young athletes can be a great addition to a training regiment for basketball, baseball, football, volleyball and more. Build strength, enhance balance and increase flexibility. Integrate a variety of mind body practices to support the “mindful athlete” such as breath awareness, yoga-based movement and visualizations. Dani Gianelos is a yoga Instructor, School teacher, and youth coach who designed this program after seeing the need for our young athletes.

Sample schedule

3-3:30 Mindfulness lesson and breathing/ icebreakers
3:30-4:30 yoga flow infused with balancing drills, core work, and movements to improve agility and flexibility.
4:30-5:00 mindful meditation, journaling, and guided techniques for relaxing and using imagery to visualize your best self on and off the court/ field
