Being a Bronx kid growing up, yoga was never a thought or ever presented to me.
I experienced my first yoga class about 12 years ago in my local gym with Geri
Jannarone. I was inspired to continue from my first class. I continued practicing yoga in the gym but left there and joined Inlet Yoga in Manasquan nearly 5 years ago. I was
motivated with the teachings of instructors such as, Jeff Seymour, Margo Teicher,
Carrrie Godesky & Marije Paternotte. In February of 2014, I went on a yoga retreat in Aruba with Marije and on returning decided I was going to give teaching a try. In May of that same year I attended Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY for my 200 hour teacher training with Devarshi Steven Hartman & Jovinna Chan. My certification was completed in September 2014 and I began to teach a small group of people in my home. In 2015 I joined Amy B. for a 15 hour Yoga Gangster training & began teaching in group homes for adolescents with issues of substance & sexual abuse. From there I taught at New Hope Foundation in Marlboro, NJ for 6 months. Later in 2015 I had the luxury to take a 30 hour Restorative Training at Kripalu with Judith Lasater and continued to teach Restorative Yoga in my home for a year. In April of 2017 I completed a 75 hour Yin Yoga teacher training at Inlet Yoga with Marije. I have teaching Yin Yoga on a regular basis
since last April in my home & now Root to Rise in Belmar on Thursday evenings , Yoga Peace Kula in Howell on Monday evenings & RAFTS on Saturday afternoons. Teaching Yoga has enhanced my life and the people I touch in so many ways. I will remain forever
grateful to all my teachers who have touched my soul over the years.
