About YPK

Mission

It's amazing to hear from single moms, college students, and those on a fixed income that their lives are greatly enhanced by doing yoga on a regular basis.

Yoga Peace Kula is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) who believes the benefits of yoga should be available to all.

As a non profit yoga studio our mission is to financially make accessible the benefits of yoga and awareness practices to those who otherwise might not be able to afford it. By creating economic diversity within the yoga studio we have the opportunity to bring together diverse communities.

We believe that environment effects the mode, frequency and vibration of an individual.  When an individual can be in a serene environment, thought patterns shift and change for the positive.  We have created a serene environment within the town of Howell, NJ, a town known for its strip malls along U.S. Hwy 9.  Part of our mission is to bring individuals who might not otherwise have access to a serene environment into our space to receive yoga classes.

Our mission, to diversify yoga studios through providing financially accessible yoga, is met through suggested $10 donation based classes.  Cash donations are anonymous placed in a box upon sign in and yoga participants always have the option to give more or less than the suggested $10 donation.

The teachings of yoga beyond a physical exercise are all inclusive, regardless of race, religion, gender, age or physical agility.  We seek to make these benefits available by utilizing our studio for specialty class such as Yoga for Limited Mobility and Yoga for Recovery.

We are proud to offer yoga and mindfulness classes led by some of the finest instructors in Monmouth and Ocean County.   All of our instructors are well trained, certified and have years of experience teaching, except our donation classes.
